The various weight loss companies like Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig are all feeling new competitive pressures.  The mobile, social, and data trends for consumers are all pointing to a new wave of disruption.  Social networks provide the reinforcement while your smartphone and gadgets like the Jawbone Up, Fitbit, or any of the forthcoming smartwatches like the Samsung Galaxy Gear provide the sensor array, dumping out to a quantified-self apps with caloric-intake and exercise activity all line up to take out these legacy businesses.
